Upcoming Improvements at the
Bucyrus Area YMCA

Thanks in part to a very generous grants of $198,950.00 from the Timken Foundation in Canton, Ohio and $14,700.00 from the Bucyrus Area Community Foundation, as well as $18,400.00 raised in partnership with the Bucyrus Rotary Auction,  the following physical improvements will be taking place at your Bucyrus YMCA.
June 2009

The second layer of pavement will be applied on the upper two tiers of the parking lot, and new seal coating will be applied to the driveway and remaining parking areas.

Natatorium (pool & pool area):  The walls will be repaired and painted; tiles will be repaired and re-grouted in the pool and on the pool deck; several light fixtures will be replaced.

Gymnasium: The floor will be sanded down to the original wood; new lines will be placed and sealant will be applied.  All needed repairs will also be done to the wall pads, backboards, and rims.

A new rubber roof will be applied to replace our current leaking roof.
