Football Clinic

This will be an hour-long clinic to teach basic football fundamentals to children in grades 1 thru 4.

Football Fundamentals

4 years old thru Kindergarten. A soft ball is used. Throwing, catching and running skills are taught to improve eye-hand co-ordination and self-confidence. Each day is finished with a game.  This will be a 6-week program.

New:  Reversible jerseys will be required for YMCA youth sports. This is a

one-time purchase price of $10.  This same jersey will be used for all youth sports.

NFL Youth Flag Football

Be sure not to miss one of the YMCA’s most popular sports—Flag Football!  Safer than tackle football, flag football will allow your child to develop football skills and fundamentals in a non-pressure setting with the most important ingredient— fun!  There will be one game and one practice a week at the YMCA.  Parent/volunteer coaches are needed!  The league will be run in association with the National Football League this year, and each child will receive an NFL jersey.  This will be a 6-week program.

Youth Flag Football

Cheerleading

We will be having cheerleading for children in grades 1 through 4.  Everyone registered will have the opportunity to cheer at one YMCA flag football game, and in the Mardi Gras parade at the end of October.  (YMCA jersey not required).
