You may have recently heard about the YMCA changing its logo and even going by “The Y” instead of the YMCA.  Be assured that your Y is still the Bucyrus Area YMCA and that the C is still very much apart of our organization.  The national brand change doesn’t make our association any less Christian.  Nor does it completely eradicate the “MCA”.  The new logo actual has YMCA in small print where as the old logo did not.  We are a faith based organization and we will remain so.

I would say that our service to the community is also the same, except that I believe it to be even better now.  Thanks to generous support from the Bucyrus Area Community Foundation, we are proud to have a whole new line of pin-selectorized weight machines in our fitness center.  Through funds raised from our annual triathlon, 5k & an outside source, we are also adding CardioVision (3 televisions connected to personal headsets) additional treadmills and another elliptical.  I am certainly thankful that the community of Bucyrus supports its YMCA at such an extremely generous level.  Our YMCA has a beautiful, top of the line fitness center and an entire facility that we can all take great pride in.
